"We talk about him being a threat to democracy, but we don't treat him like one."

Fucking exactly that.

They're not even denying Trump's fascism. They're minimizing it instead.

Anderson misunderstood. He's not saying that CNN is questioning whether she's black, he's saying that they give the question air-time. They talk about it...like, the fact that it's even a topic of discussion is absurd.

I already voted so I'm just sitting on an egg and waiting for it to hatch. I pray Kamala becomes President.

I feel as if the egg is festooned with spikes and it's in my gut.

The Washington Post, once a respected media outlet, has now spiraled down to the level of the New York Post or the Daily Mail. My understanding is that over 10,000 subscriptions were cancelled over the last two days. The media is shooting itself not just in the foot, but in its gonads as well.

I’m one of those 10,000.

Please, oh PLEASE, make Kamala win so decisively that trump can only sit in a corner sucking his thumb and begging for his mama. 🤞🤞🤞

Do the majority of the people actually know what fascism is? That means that they had to be present and listening to their history teacher explain the differences between fascism, communism and socialism in order to understand the concept and why it's so damaging to our country if Donold becomes (you forbid) the next prez.

Susan Fanning's avatar

My impression is that they don't know the differences. Communism, Marxism, fascism, and socialism are all the same to them. Just one big melting pop of "bad." Jimmy Kimmel was doing his "person on the street" interviews not long ago. None of them could define any of the terms.

I'm glad Anderson Cooper, a Vanderbilt, finally took it in the neck for his attacks on Kamala Harris and LACK of attacks on Donald Trump!

Amen, amen, amen, Jesus!!! It is almost like whenever Chump does or says something terrible or shows how tyrannical he is, these news media people have to come up with something negative to nitpick Harris about. The whole point is that Big Orange is a HORROR story and nothing compares to him or what he has said and done!

There are people still holding onto the past, not the GOP, not Trump, not MAGA. It’s the rest of us, holding onto the idea that NEWS is a service provided for the consumer to appreciate. WRONG! NEWS is a commodity, sold as entertainment and financed by advertising. Viewers are a product being sold to advertisers. The more viewers you have, the more you can make, selling access to them to the highest bidders. Ratings aren’t about how well news is being presented. Talking heads compete for viewers and are paid accordingly. Networks compete for viewership and are paid accordingly. The days when news reporting was a service are long gone. So, we complain because the news is unfair or even misleading and suffer the ignorance that WE are the product being sold to advertisers and that we have to be agitated and manipulated and
