Well, I am not certain that you ARE just paranoid. He has shown a pattern of escalating and doubling down whenever things don't go his way or someone says something he doesn't like. If he was just some crazy guy on the street, shouting his hate to the world, he would just get put away. The fact remains, though, that he was placed in a position where he has the power to take the world with him. He is terrified of death and deeply resents the very idea that anyone or anything would survive him. I think he wants to ensure that he will not go alone into the night.
The one "good news," "silver lining" about that theory is that no micro-organism (especially not a cooked-up GMO'ed one) would survive proximity to a nuke.
And the ones that could, the ones that actually live in the COOLANT WATER of nuclear reactors, would find us way too boring to want to invade. ;-)

First, we need to step back and see what these 'newly woke' people will say and do. If they still spew the same hateful drivel, even after eschewing president bozo, they cannot be trusted. Second, while it is useful, necessary and, let's face it, fun to tear these asshats new ones, and the resistance...the marches...the losing court cases and all are profoundly important, there is something else we should all be doing. Now would be the time to have conversations about creating a post-maniac society and culture. We have this amazing opportunity to create a culture that is more open, democratic, inclusive and creative. The Constitution is a great start, but some of it is no longer an easy fit with a world that has changed dramatically since it was written. So, it can and should be updated, something the framers accounted for, to reflect and address the realities of this modern world. And God, now is when we REALLY need You. Your messages and the space in which to toss around all these ideas and insights is vital to the hopeful success of a true democracy. Thank You, from my deepest heart. The world is what we make it. It was never any other way.
True, all of it. It's relatively "easy" to change the Constitution (hey, Originalists: THAT'S what the Founding Fathers /designed it to do/), but the trick is, doing so while the right-wing nutjobs are NOT in power. :-/
My suggestion? Have the oafs in charge of such things be as apolitical as possible, so we can get the 28th Amendment, the ERA, actually accepted as law. My 29th Amendment suggestion would be: "If you're not allowed to vote because you're a felon who hasn't cleared your name yet, you're not allowed to hold political office at any level."
Amendment 30: "Anyone wanting to run for political office at any level, from city dog catcher up to President, must take and pass the same civics test as any would-be American citizen from another country (i.e, an immigrant)."
That would hopefully ensure that anyone we vote for, regardless of their background (former actor, former pro wrestler, former football coach, former whatever), would at least /know what their fucking job entailed now/. X-P
