His death is troublesome as is that of the fetus of another detainee: even prisoners in the US are to be treated decently tho now “law enforcement” is so cruel [story today that those in blue are committing more murders than other people are killing] they are doing as they believe their “leader” wants. If it brings more attention to someone who can act against the procedures, then good. (I have little hope anyone will til lawsuits increase.)

The fact that A.N.Y.O.N.E. is dying while in ICE custody is reprehensible, that the citizen is from an allied nation is whole different ballgame.
OK, he's not a "good guy". Fine. At his hearing, remove his US status, and return him to Canada.
Keeping him in the US GULAG until he dies is vile.

We sure need an investigation into this homicide. That's exactly what it was. The staff at the facility must be prosecuted fully. That man should never have been there as none of the illegally snatched detainees should have. Same with the stillborn infant and her mother who did not receive care. This administration is made up of soulless monsters.

While I am both horrified and not surprised that folk are dying while in the tender care of the American Gestapo, we also have the Supreme Court basically giving The Orange Asshat what he wants - the right to determine who is and who is not a citizen. He is halfway to ending birthright citizenship. I am at a loss as to what we can do to stop him and the Hate Beast he rides.
No one should die like this. Don't think that you are so innocent that it won't hit you as well. This is going to destroy us and the America we know. I'm 77 and I know this is true.
Actually living relatively close to the border, I have NEVER been afraid the border except for when trump is in office. I work w kids. This deport first ask later is adding a new layer of severe trauma on kids. Families are in fear which is not something humans wired for.
And what no one is talking about is the reason we have human & drug trafficking is BECAUSE THERE IS A DEMAND IN THE STATES. Until no demand to traffic little girls or drugs, the illegal demand will continue. Citizen children are also traumatized bc they are worried about being sent away. Then cuts to Medicaid means they can’t get much needed therapy.
A person dying in ICE custody is a tragedy, regardless of one's allegiance to Chump. "ICE didn’t care that he loved Trump." While ICE is cruel to anybody who gets in their crosshair, they are not as far as we can tell, offering leniency to those who prove or profess their love for Dear Leader as evidenced by this Noviello case. Could you imagine if ICE let Noviello go simply because he favors Chump? Everybody -- immigrant, trump lover, democrat, or otherwise -- should be afforded impartial treatment in the eyes of the law.
When I read that someone died in ICE custody I thought Oh no! But now I'm wondering in this guy's case, if it's reaping what one has sown.
