Excellent reporting, my Lord! Smite the FCC, ABC and all of those for the shameful removal of Kimmel for telling the truth and exercising his, and our, 1st amendment rights! Amen!
I cancelled my Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and National Geographic subscriptions due to this reason. And I was sure to tell them why (below if anyone else wants to use it). Plus I emailed the Walt Disney Shareholder as to why I did it.
------
I am cancelling my subscription because you decided to suspend Jimmy Kimmel following his comments about Charlie Kirk. His statement was a criticism of political spin around a tragic event, not an “offensive” remark.
By capitulating to political pressure from those who openly undermine democracy, you are signaling that free expression and journalistic integrity are less important than appeasing extremists. That is not a company I will support.
Please record my cancellation reason accurately:
I am leaving because of your response to Jimmy Kimmel’s comments, not because of the content itself.
My alarm and despair the day after the election was because I knew this dark descent into fascism was coming. It was so frustrating when many of my friends and family took the attitude “well, let’s wait and see what happens. It won’t be that bad”. I do not enjoy having been correct about this from day 1. Thank you God for being here with us.
Plus, no matter how many threats he makes about "2028," he can't be elected for a third term, so he's getting all the power he can grab, do all the damage he can, right now. :-/
Dear God, thine holy spirit hath descended upon Tucker Carlson. The pawn is the most powerful chess piece. Please move more Tucker-like pawns. Like, a whole bunch of them at the same time. The bishops have been crippled and the knights have been wounded. Methinks thou hath plans for the Queen and doth hideth her for now, awaiting the perfect moment to unleash her full powers. We wait thusly. Amen 🙏
I know people who are uninformed and apathetic. I also know people who are intentionally underinformed because they don't like the unpleasant reality. This second type maddens me more than the first. They take for granted what America is, should be, can be, and in many ways was until this authoritarian power grab. They lack an understanding of freedom and they take for granted that their way of life will be sustained with no commitment on their part. They are sadly mistaken.
Oh. My. God! I love how you curate input on the silencing of Jimmy Kimmel. I hadn't seen the clip of what he actually said, so thanks for including it here. THAT was the offensive straw that broke the O-turd's back? 🤦🏻♀️ Meanwhile, the regime broadbrushes all of us as the lunatic left extremists, continuously spewing hateful commentary from the Oval office to JDV inciting employees to nark on their colleagues to their employers if anyone posts anything against Kirk, to the Fox bobble-heads stating horrific things about the homeless and the left to Congress members who zealously grab any microphone and bleat how the left has blood on their hands. Hypocrisy isn't a strong enough word.
i think kimmel's actual "crime" is that he made fun of trump for not caring about kirk and being more interested in his absolutely unnecessary and pretentious ballroom. they're only implying it was the kirk comment to cover their butthurt asses.
In the meantime, we the People have to put up with this eyesore in OUR HOUSE. It's not Trump's house, no matter if he stays in there until they pry his teeny li'l fingers off the siding, it's OURS. >:-(
What the hell did he demolish to make room for that gold-plated toilet bowl of a room?
The Propaganda Ministry and the Reich Press Chamber (1933):
The Propaganda Ministry, through its Reich Press Chamber, assumed control over the Reich Association of the German Press, the guild which regulated entry into the profession. Under the new Editors Law of October 4, 1933, the association kept registries of “racially pure” editors and journalists, and excluded Jews and those married to Jews from the profession. Propaganda Ministry officials expected editors and journalists, who had to register with the Reich Press Chamber to work in the field, to follow the mandates and instructions handed down by the ministry. In paragraph 14 of the law, the regime required editors to omit anything “calculated to weaken the strength of the Reich abroad or at home.”
The Federal Communications Commission in the pocket of the president really makes me wonder who's watching the store. Didn't we used to look to them for truth in advertising? Years ago, two agents from the FCC came directly to my door because an uneducated man said he could hear my voice in his television set and were checking the property for a CB Tower that he claimed I had. I lived on a half an acre, any tower would stick out. They were worried I hadn't applied for a license, and couldn't care less if my neighbor was not well. They were nice enough to tell him that it was impossible for my voice to be in his TV and to find an electrician. An electrician showed up and fixed the problem. They had shown me a copy of the complaint he filed. Signed with an X. I bet they talked about that one back at headquarters. Back when the FCC was out there just doing their job.
You sure you don't have any mergers in mind? What if the Elysian Fields offered you $6.2 billion, but only if you promised to stop smiting Dumpy? Or Styx boatman Charon offered $7 billion, but only if you stopped talking smack about Justa Dick?
Absolute power does NOT corrupt absolutely; it's the perception of the /lack/ of absolute power that makes teeny people want more of it. :-/
Seriously; if one were omnipotent and omniscient, truly "all powerful," how could one be tempted by /anything/, let alone something as ephemeral as some piddly li'l mortal money? ;)
On the list of corporations bending the knee, Disney is hand in hand with ABC. Time to reconsider paid subscriptions to Disney and Hulu and all the Disney stuff Americans buy. The only thing these corporations care about is money so time to organize and express our vigorous disapproval of these attacks on our fundamental rights by withholding our money. What we buy or subscribe to, and from whom, is a “vote” many of us can make every day.

Like the song Joni sings, “… you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone …”
Let’s get out and save our democracy. There’s still time. As you as my witness, we’re going to beat these greedy bastards

Excellent! Let us know if you receive any response. I won't be holding my breath.

The only thing that surprised me is that this all didn't happen during his first term.
He had too many reasonable sane people around him, to keep him from being his worst self.
Plus, no matter how many threats he makes about "2028," he can't be elected for a third term, so he's getting all the power he can grab, do all the damage he can, right now. :-/

If I could, I’d cancel Hulu, Prime and Disney all over again.
Day 3 of the economic boycott.
This God is with us.
Stay strong.

Good catch. hootiepgh! Of course!
He will be too ill to enjoy that waste of money.

My nasty mind wonders whether Iger capitulated so quickly because he may be kompromated (not the only CEO?) with regard to Epstein.
That does make one wonder. Hmm.
Our lord God is GOOD.
Soon, there won’t be anything left to boycott, because everything will be one big, greedy company!
Until then, we SMITE:
Target
Amazon
NY Times
Washington Post
CBS
Disney/Hulu/ABC/Whatever
I canceled Disney and filed a complaint against Brian Kilmeade and FOX NEWS with the FCC.
Bravo!!!! Well-played!
MAGA is the new NAZI...
