Does he ever do anything but watch tv? Whatever you think of Maher, his show, like all late night talk shows, are for us, not him. I remember seeing Hillary and Obama on late night when they were shown a silly meme or comment about them and they hadn’t seen it because unlike president pedo they were actually doing their jobs. They weren’t cutting out fake time magazine covers and putting them on the wall. What a pathetic little man he is.
That's why I don't watch him. I can't remember whether it was something racist or sexist that he said which made me decide, "Nope. I don't have time to waste on that bullshit." but I did, and haven't regretted it for a moment.

I looked up Real Time with Bill Maher's ratings after his White House slumber party, at which point I stopped watching forever, and it was around #325 on HBO rankings. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver was #9 on HBO. My most recent check was that Oliver was still top ten on HBO but Maher was down to 450 or so. Too bad, so sad for Bill. Not.
Like CNN and now CBS News/60 Minutes, Bill Maher has alienated both sides. As God wrote, it would make sense for his show to be cancelled for the reasons any show would be cancelled, regardless of Donald’s demands. I’ve always been repulsed by Maher because he is the embodiment of the word “smug.” I’ll dab at my “Erika Kirk tears” and play my tiniest violin for him.
I watched Maher during the first writers’ strike. It was obvious how unfunny he is, how dependent on writers to create his jokes. Maher is all about externals like delivery. I do not think the man possesses a sense of humor of his own.
I don’t think he owns anything. He’s a rental kind of guy in an ownership world.
Stephen Colbert owns himself. John Oliver, too. And all of Colbert’s friends. They own it.

Freedom of speech has another part, you have the freedom to not listen. Now THAT’S what America is all about.
