Like the story of the Army Wife who packed a little heavy and was on her way to visit her husband in Hawaii, deported back to Australia, finding out that being married to an American citizen isn't worth a hill of beans anymore. Even those going through naturalization processes after marrying, even those at their citizenship hearing, nobody is immune, well I suppose except for our first lady immigrant and her anchor baby. The smell of hypocrisy is heavy here in America.

Ya know, id take deportation to Australia if that was my fate. Better than being here and you'd probably get out of Aussie prison without much difficulty.

Nancy's avatar

You wouldn't necessarily be IN Aussie prison, unless...why was her luggage so heavy? Lots of guns? Cost the airline $5 more in fuel? I'm not familiar with the story. :-/

John S. Way's avatar

I mean, wherever in Australia they sent me it'd probably be nicer than here.

Nancy's avatar

True! :D

And El Salvador... :-/

John S. Way's avatar

Dunno about that. El Salvador is under a dictator, Australia isn't. Australia also has universal Healthcare so once you DO get a new life started there you can at least enjoy that.

Mercurial's avatar

I think she meant Australia is preferable to El Salvador.

Apparently airport officials believe that her bags were too heavy for just a visit and that she had planned to overstay her visa, when all she wanted to do was visit her Army husband in Oahu

"She had too many clothes in her suitcase" and ergo, was planning to work. Unbelievable - except it happened:

I hope she can someday find the wherewithal to sue the shit out of them. This is absolutely ludicrous.

Mercurial's avatar

She's now been banned from re-entering the US - where her husband lives and works - for ten years.

John S. Way's avatar

Yeah, this definitely smells like a possible lawsuit. That or her husband is gonna take a quick exit from the military and go to join her. I guarantee this isn't the last we hear of this though.

"Too many clothes" -- what the bleeding fuck? Who makes these kind of ludicrous snap decisions? =8-0

Some overzealous customs or immigration officer. And remember, the fish always rots from the head.

It astounds me that anyone is surprised by anything the wannabe king does. Maybe when marshal law is declared and the troops march through their towns and cities they will get it. tRump will. NEVER EVER stop.

Bronwyn Halls's avatar

Have you noticed? No more huuuuge rallies where The Rump sells junk to adoring crowds. Now it's tiny rallies of the wealthy where he sells ZitCoin and dreams to small cliques of the filthy rich, squeezing them for every cent (or million dollars) he can get.

Meanwhile he rants about the due process endured by a $75,000-a-badge scammer while denying due process to thousands of "criminals" whose only crime was to want to live in the US.

He's not "Republican". To him, the public is sh*t.

Wonder which one of his toadies told him to insert “exculpatory” because it would make him sound intelligent. My take is “one of these words is not like the others”. 🙄😳🤔

I doubt Donnie wrote it. Big words, complete sentences, not nearly enough words in full caps. There is no way he wrote it.

This seems very unfair - not The Tiger King case, but the pardon of Scott Jenkins.

What happened to the pardons for the three other guys, two of whom confessed to giving Jenkins money, and one who was found guilty - by a jury, not a "Biden judge"? Surely if Jenkins was unfairly jailed, the other three were as well? Where's THEIR pardons, Donnie?

John S. Way's avatar

They'll never understand, because they are so willfully blind. Good thing God sees all and will always tell them to go fuck themselves.

Great depiction of you “dying from laughing”! 😆 I can always depend on God to make me feel better about t his crazy world. 🥰

Dying with you (from laughter). 🐯👑 🤣

Dear God of course I was sad and angry hearing the news about Jenkins. I live in Culpeper. Justice undone. 🥵

God, the DonOld screed made me laugh. Really, he wrote in lower case and then used "exculpatory". He can't spell covefefe or read above 2nd grade. Thanks for the continued laugh and pointing out the Hypocrisy. 😁😆🙃

Yeah, Trump's got at least one aide (or more) who like him well enough (or Musk is paying them enough; they wouldn't get squat from the Trumpster Fire) that they'll write for him, but as the Mango Mussolini has proven: if you wanna ghost-write for the Federal Felon, you gotta sound like he does in writing. ;)

You are all-knowing, God. Thanks for sharing.

I recently learned tRumpy is pardoning the dynamic fraudster duo Todd and Julie Chrisley. Maybe Joe should've committed some white collar crimes instead.

Is it a revolution if we’re just trying to adhere to the Constitution?

Here’s someone who ACTUALLY needs Trump’s mercy but likely won’t get it. 😓

Actually I think he "pardoned" the Sheriff because they are "birds of a feather." Both love to break laws and both should be locked up.

Nancy's avatar

Yeah; nothing a convicted felon likes more than destroying the rule of law. X-P
