A friend of mine knows the family seen in the photo - tRump has kept in touch with them throughout the past 3 years, they are big fans of his and feel he is the only one that really cares about what happened to her. They were very happy he was there.
I don’t doubt what you say about the family for a minute; it’s too much to ask of people in such circumstances to envisage that they are being played by a prominent politician for political purposes. My beef with it is that on such a solemn occasion all present should be expected behave appropriately not as if they were about to have a picnic. It’s hard to imagine Biden behaving like that nor those who were there with him, whether they were families of the fallen or not.

The Repub booth had a handful of people inside, while the Democrats’ booth (which looks much bigger) was shoulder-to-shoulder. They ask people to stick a pin on a huge map to show where they’ll be voting, and it was exciting to see those blue pins all over the state. Saw a lot more people walking around in Harris/Walz tees than pro-Trump, including guys in camo and Vets for Harris, and got a lovely Harris/Walz yard sign from someone who’s making them and giving them away 💙🌴💙🏈💙

I remember him telling a grieving widow (on the phone I’m sure) that her husband “knew what he signed up for!” I couldn’t even believe my ears and was disgusted beyond belief. I hate that man. How about when John McCain died in August 2018, Mr Trump came under pressure from lawmakers in both parties for refusing to order White House flags to fly at half-staff or to release a statement of condolences.

The bombing which caused the death of these soldiers occurred three years ago. I would guess the families have come to terms with the deaths.
