What it is, when it will happen, I dunno. As hard as it is to believe, God does not consult me about such things. But I know that day exists for all of us. And I say it softly, eyeball to eyeball and with a big ol' grin on my face, like I'm wishing them all the best. There is something to be said for knocking the wind out of your opponent. Satisfaction!

Sadly, two of my buddies (one of whom is another Democrat; mixed marriages can work! :D) have to live with her mother in the mom's house due to Reasons (initially; now they're the mom's caregivers), and Mom has drunk the Kool-aid pretty deeply, so politics aren't a thing allowed within hearing distance (luckily for us as guests, Mom's hearing is going pretty thoroughly...), and Mom doesn't apparently watch Faux News while guests are in the house. :)
While I, like many others, are incensed by the firing of Terry Moran, it is important to know that journalists are expected to follow a set of ethics that include avoiding bias. To my mind, this directly contradicts another standard, reporting truthfully, but the argument can be made that Moran's statements were his opinion, and not factual - even though we know they are.
This comes down to capitulation to the Trump regime, as we all know.
Thus, it presents a strong case for independent, accurate and truthful independent journalism My hope is that Moran - who already has a Substack account - will begin to participate here.
In other news, I saw this earlier today: "The Daily Mail is reporting that Trump thinks that the date for the papal celebration was chosen in order to upstage his own birthday gala." It's always all about him, eh?

That might actually have an effect; I'm not sure how much real metal is in tanks and whatnot any more, but surely they have procedures in place to avoid the troops getting electrocuted if lightning hits? :(
