I'd like to report some HOPE today, dear God. A video on Instagram showed neighbors with a bullhorn protecting other immigrant neighbors' from ICE. "Don't open you doors. They can put the warrant under the door or up against the window. It must be signed by a Federal Judge or it isn't valid." Over and over. Then they just told ICE to get out of the neighborhood. Not turning against each other is how we win !
This is good to know, in case I get the chance to do the same for a family. I worked with several undocumented ladies last November. My white Repub female boss told me when I couldn’t stop crying about the election: “I don’t know why you’re so upset. It’s not even going to affect you. (I’m also a white female of retirement age) Think of all the people who voted FOR him.” (Yes, Terry, I think often of those people who decided to FAFO, like you, with glee). I quit soon after, even though that was my first instance of they don’t care until it affects them, it absolutely sickened and disgusted me. I still worry every day about my friends, and their children who walk around daily with targets on their backs. And didn’t have the choice I did, due to SS and retirement to just walk away. From another MAGA small business owner who through her selfish vote, thinking only of herself and her bottom line, totally disregarded everyone in her immediate orbit. Made them disposable. Elections have consequences, and since she is a food store, catering business, prepared foods in plastic and foil containers from China, I doubt she will survive long. Funny how through all of Covid lockdown, and “Biden inflation,” she never had to raise her prices. But, her own vote will likely put her out of business🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🙄🙄🙄👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 oh, fucking, well. She had access to the same info that all of us who are saying FAFO, the leopards will need Ozempic, had!!!
Even if we impeach the Orange Julius Caesar (and make it stick this time ["The first President ever impeached three times, and the first ever removed from office as a result! I DID THAT!!!!!! :D"]...), at least JD Vance isn't nearly so charismatic. ;-)
