That's wonderful, God. We all need to be kind to each other, especially those who are suffering. I too have schizophrenia, and it takes a lot of trial and error, and realistically years, to get the right combination of medications to function well. Too many people avoid interacting with the mentally ill. It's a shame, because a lot of them are intelligent, articulate individuals who just need the right balance of treatment. My neighbour's schizophrenic, also a young man. When he first showed signs of his illness, aged only 13, he thought he was Jesus come to save the world. He also thought he could fly and the family had to put locks on all the upstairs windows to stop him from trying!
Turns out he's more of a hellspawn. He decided flying wasn't for him and took to burglary for a while. He behaves better now, but is still what we locally call "a little shit". I guess he's not ready to save the world yet either, bless him.
We have to deal with all sorts in our lives, so gently is the best foot forward.
