Don't lose heart. In every generation there are people who are *really* alive, and will want to learn … to read, to converse, to think, to work, to hope.
Unfortunately, I think reading is now considered a dinosaur. Teachers are warning students against using AI for their homework assignments. I'm taking an online class and you can tell when people use AI for discussion posts that are supposed to be "critical thinking" exercises.
As a not evangelical Christian, that strikes me as insane. A) That they assume their almighty God needs help getting it done, and B) that they think they won't be held accountable for their many, many sins. They obviously never learned the saying "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
It reminds me of the numerous times they said Jesus was coming back and religious fanatics sold all their earthly possessions so they could be ascended into heaven. It never happened.
That's what taking the Bible literally will get you. It was written about the persecution of early Christians under Nero - but then again, we have a modern day Nero in the WH - he fiddles (plays, parties, etc) while US democracy is being destroyed daily.
Oh, pshhh. Sorry I forgot. Only the rich entitled uninjured soldiers are safer and richer. The rest are LOOZERS. As are the rest of us who (hahaha silly us) think we are Americans!
