"That is the single dumbest thing any human has ever done, but hey, I'll vote for you again" has got to be the single dumbest thing any human has ever said.

Xeno's avatar

I know. That blew me away.

Xeno's avatar

I know - right? Shows the calibre of his supporter base.

JENNIFER's avatar

Do they even know that their retirement portfolios only look good because of BIDEN'S economy???

EarthWindFire's avatar

Do they know? Yes. Will they ever admit it? No. Because then they’ll have to admit either that they have bad judgment or their vote was never about the economy.

Tyler's avatar

They’re too stupid to realize that. My landlord was bitching about the price of eggs and gas under Biden. Even though it was the best economy this country has ever seen. Now he’s paying through his ass even more but has no complaints. The level of denial is unbelievable.

Most of 47s support emotionally comes from the red hat wearing ,white ,not quite middle class ,valueless dreamers. They are no more going to get rich than I am going to grow wings. But heck, they made their choice...now eat your hat, flag, t-shirt and bible.

You will be forgiven by a Supremely Kind and Benevolent God...I cannot.

Right? This simping for billionnaires is unreal. These fools are 3 bad months away from homelessness but aren't and never will be three good months away from being a billionaire.

I sincerely doubt even God will forgive what the MAGAts have blindly done to HIS PLANET. S F M And neither will I.🤬🤬🤬

The thing that's really pissing /me/ off?

Since I was a little kid and WATCHED IN PERSON, on a tour at Cape Canaveral (then still called Cape Kennedy, iirc), the folks there putting together AN APOLLO ROCKET (I really hope everyone here actually believes the over 400,000 people who worked on the project [one of whom was a co-worker of mine in later life] that we actually did go to the moon, vs. one disaffected ex-employee who wanted to punish his former bosses), I've always been a firm believer in the space program and the need to help save this poor, beleaguered, over-populated planet by getting permanent space colonies out there to take the pressure off and appreciate what we still have here. Check out the rest of God's creation. Grow up a bit. X-P

Star Trek original series fan (it was around when I was just a toddler, so most/all of my memories are of syndication). Science fiction fan in general, especially Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Lois McMaster Bujold, Anne McCaffrey (not for everything she ever said or wrote, but quite a bit), folks like that.

But now, thanks to these junior high school level li'l fucktards, if those are gonna be the ones out there representing us? Being the only survivors while they kill the rest of the planet behind them? No thanks; we deserve to be annihilated by the next huge solar flare or asteroid that hits. X-P

No sympathy whatsoever for his whiny bitches either. If it looks like a duck, farts like a duck, smells like a duck… you all knew he was a lying grifting thief. You were just hoping to be cut into the haul. We told you so. That dolt doesn’t give a flying f*ck about anyone but him and his mob family. I am not on the forgiveness train yet. Not sure I will get there. Too soon to tell.

If I was a duck's avatar

TBH, he doesn't even care about his family, mob or not. What's shocking to be is why hasn't he woken up at the bottom of the Potomac wearing a pair of concrete shoes, or is that time still coming?

Lisa Nystrom's avatar

One would think.. or natural selection. The grotesque lifestyle and eating habits should have the Grim Reaper waiting outside his door patiently.

If I was a duck's avatar

I think the Grim Reaper and Satan have a deal. The Grim Reaper gets a group discount, but Satan need time to expand his real estate for all the newcomers he's gonna get!

I still love that bit this one comedian had on Facebook...he'd done a green-screen video background behind him of darkness and flames, with horns on his head, etc., talking on his cell phone, something like this:

"Hey, Pete? This is -- oh, you'll get him? Yeah, thanks, I'll wait... [singing under his breath to the hold music] 'Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth' -- hey, Peter! Yeah, this is -- well, you know who this is! :D Yeah, just wanted to ask if there was a mix-up or something up there? ... Well, we just got a guy down here with a Presidential Medal of Freedom around his neck! [this was when Rush Limbaugh had died] Yeah, first time for everything, right? So, we were wondering -- really? ... He did WHAT?! No! You're /kidding!/ :D Whoa! Okay! So -- yeah, yeah, we'll hang onto him down here...for, like, eternity, right. Yeah, thanks for clearing that up! Love you too, big guy!" [hangs up]

"Trump derangement syndrome isn't on the left - clearly it is you."

AND THERE WAS LIGHT. 🌞🌟😃

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Heck, some former Chumpers might make decent allies. I believe in redemption arcs and we need to reach out to the less rabid of them.

We need the numbers and if more moderate ex-trumpers can hold their noses and vote Blue, it would be a victory.

Fred klauber's avatar

Voting against this crowned piglet is definitely the way to go. But one disgusting thought keeps surfacing in my mind. Are all or most of the voting have real results or will the results be’ n give the win to the Trump/maga side. This idiots do deserve to be capitalized.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

The fears are understandable. However, everybody still needs to vote.

A number of Democratic wins in deep red districts in Wisconsin seem to indicate that voting still works.

Also, the reports of possible fraud with regards to the 2024 elections only covered some districts in a couple of states.

Finally, there may be more people willing to switch sides this time around and the Democratic town halls and Sanders & Cortez's tours are opportunities to educate people on things.

It's important that we don't completely alienate former MAGA fans, even if some were influenced by some sort of bigotry as well as economics. Bigotry is a spectrum and not all bigots are hardcore. Some white bigots are actually chill with non-whites to a point and would find NeoNazis and Klannies as monstrous as anything (many are unaware that they're even bigots and are just simply socially unconscious and assume racism was 'solved').

Rather, we need to direct our loathing at their leaders and clergy as well as the more extreme ones. The rest are just regular fellow citizens trying to live their lies and are simply ignorant and misinformed. If we are to be "United" again, we need to understand these nuances.

The point is, suppression and rigging can't be uniform in all 50 states. Voting machines are actually pretty secure, many companies are ditching Starlink and Musk will soon be gone so he can't rig anything. The lines between Democratic & GOP voters are now blurred since both sides are mad at Orange Stupidus and Co.

Finally, The discontent against Team Orange Loser could also lead to the Right's votes being split or GOPers just staying home if they can't bring themselves to vote Democratic.

We should still be the voter suppression concerns in mind but we still need to be gung-ho over voting while working on ways to outsmart voter suppression and rigging schemes.

WE CAN DO IT! WE CAN SAVE AMERICA!

I’m 100% with you on all that. I even have troubled keeping myself from throwing the remote at the TV when he or is MAGAits are on the screen. Even after the vote that he hopefully will lose we have to be vigilant. There are a lot of Trump zealots who may come out of the woodwork; kinda like the termites that they are.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Agreed! Never get complacent.

This isn't kewl. I thought I was voting for free eggs, deportation of immigrants, no woke shit, the elimination of DEI, no pronoun usage and owning the libs. How come no one warned me that us patriots were gonna get boned in the ass for all of eternity too? I'm starting to think I may have possibly made a mistake. However, on a positive note, Dear Leader won a golf tournament at one of his golf motor lodges this past weekend........

I want to know how that one thinks they will vote for trump again!! He’s termed out, and at the end of four years of this NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON will support him. It hasn’t even been 100 days yet…..

Lisa Nystrom's avatar

Only the terminally stupid will vote for that human parasite again.

EarthWindFire's avatar

According to our Constitution, no one should be voting for him again.

Lisa Nystrom's avatar

I am with you on this. He’s demented enough to try anything. The idea was already out there in the universe. I didn’t put it there. And I wasn’t implying he should. It was more a comment about the die hard supporters.

EarthWindFire's avatar

I know you’re with me and I share your opinion about the dementia. I just get concerned about us accepting things that we shouldn’t sometimes. Let’s keep that a MAGAt thing. 😉

Lisa Nystrom's avatar

I agree. But if he tries…

EarthWindFire's avatar

I think if we accept the premise that he can try to run for a third term, the more likely it is to happen. If he wants a third term, he can talk three-quarters of state legislatures into repealing the two term limit amendment. Not before. None of this “considering” or “trying” bs. Draw a line in the sand.

Nancy's avatar

I think one plan he has in mind is to have either Vance or a 35+ year old kid of his (the three oldest are in their 40s) run in 2028, with him as the VP candidate. Then the newly elected "president" takes the 25th and resigns, and Himself is back in again, since he wasn't asking anyone to actually elect /him/ again (sadly, that's what's in the 22nd Amendment; it talks about "electing" this and "electing" that). X-P

Sooz Hall's avatar

Oh, don’t let a pesky little thing like a Constitutional amendment frighten you! It was written post 1850, and so is automatically subject to tons of reinterpretation…

Nancy's avatar

And the whole thing ripped up and used as Trump's toilet paper... X-P

All of these regretful simpletons can just go vacation at Club Dumbass. Maybe they will be able to attend the $90 million parade (funded with everyone's tax dollars) and throw rotten tomatoes at the military. Since none of them listened to the truth BEFORE they voted, this is what they get from me: 🎻🎻🎻. Thank you, God! Amen! Awomen! Ramen!

As the bully in the schoolyard who nobody pushed, this carnivore feeds on lost hopes and dreams and quenches his thirst on tears. Should we all just ingest poison and hope for the best?

No! He’s not taking MY future away — and I’m on my way to 80 in July💣

Nancy's avatar

HEY! From a wildlife biologist: Don't insult carnivores like that! >:-(

I was speaking to my financial guy and said he should follow Trump on X. He said his colleagues literally talked about that at their most recent meeting .. yesterday!!

Nancy's avatar

Why, out of perverse curiosity? :-/

Just to see what crazy-assed thing he's gonna do next? :-/

Nancy's avatar

And that was back in 2019... ;-)

Benchley regretted writing about sharks in Jaws (based off an actual attack that happened, but it was a /bull/ shark, not a great white; great whites aren't interested in eating humans at all, but they have no real way to check out anything except through their teeth. Bull sharks, on the other hand, loooooooove them some humans, and will go up rivers to find swimmers in the water)...

Hell, even the economist that came up with the stupid "trickle-down theory" repudiated it later: "It DOESN'T WORK!! Stop using it!!!"

But “we” refuse to listen and learn.
