The America Iโ€™ve known all of my 74 years of life is gone. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ˜ข Those friends and family across the St. Clair river are in real trouble. It doesnโ€™t really matter how it became what it is but it saddens me.

I have traveled to Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Arizona, California, Illinois, and Iโ€™m sure I have forgotten a few. I am heartbroken for all of those I met along the way. Iโ€™m also happy to see you fighting for your country.

We stand with you in every act of patriotism you display. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. Elbows Up!

Knowing that Canadians, our friends for 150 years, support and encourage our fight to get our country back makes us stronger and more determined. Thank you.

Wendy, we are truly blessed to have such good neighbors/friends as you Canadians, as well as the other countries that see us and have our backs! It really helps to know that you're there for us! <3

There's only so much -- oh, let's call it /nonsense/ -- any Americans will put up with. ;)

Anyone pokes us often enough, hard enough, we're gonna do that bald eagle thing like it did with Trump that time, after he was warned "Don't get too close to the bird, sir. He's likely to attack -- sigh..." :D

I still want to know how much the blood money is. There are actual humans who put in job applications so that they can rip people out of their lives. Perhaps they self recruit. They call it security? It is nothing but brutality.

My dad was a cop, among various other gigs, between his Park Ranger job (which was already law enforcement by then, I think) and his eventual high school teaching job, and he'd be appalled at the crud people will do for the right to swagger around with a baton and a GUN. X-P

Also appalling: how little actual training and/or "book larnin'" our cops get here. From everything I've heard, in like every other "First World" country, it's at least TWO YEARS of things like criminal justice classes, talking with citizens (vs. just whacking them over the head or shooting them), what guns (if they actually carry them; depends) are actually for and how to actually use them safely, etc., etc., etc.

I'm jealous (envious?) of other countries for SO many reasons... X-P

For sure Jesus would be sent to El Salvador. A brown-skinned, Palestinian Jew, not looking anything like the blond-haired, blue-eyed Dashboard Jesus.

I call that "the Crusader Jesus," because when the Church started the First Crusade as busy-work ("No, no; stop eyeing Church lands, there's...the Holy Land! Yes, that's it! :D Go liberate the Holy Land from people who've lived there for thousands of years already -- er, from the awful, awful people who've captured the lands where Christ was born and lived and worked and died! Other religions already there? Those are your ENEMIES!! /Anything/ you do on Crusade will be automatically forgiven! If you die in a holy war like this, at least you won't be knocking on /our/ back door -- er, you'll go straight to heaven! No need for being shriven or Last Rites or whatever! Go! Shoo! :D"), they needed to draw an obvious line between Us and Them ("Kill anyone who doesn't look European!"). :-/

Those that stay silent in this descent to fascism are complicit and shall be remembered as such.

And Patel, Bondi, and all his evil minions will be forever stained by this. They apparently do not care.

And even LESS like the "Li'l Baby Jeezus" that most of them "adore"

It's just fine, apparently, to pack your own agenda around the Bible and sell it for $60 to rip even more money off the masses. If there were a pile of those travesties on a table in a courtyard Jesus would turf them into the mud in a moment.

Nancy's avatar

Oh, absolutely. :-/

The /one time/ He lost His shit was with having to put up with the 1% trying to do mercantile stuff on sacred ground. X-P

If only they'd swoop in and deport the 34-count felon, and leave the children alone.

Nancy's avatar

Deport him /where/? :-/

I'd suggest Germany, since that's his ancestors' lands, but we like Germany now, so I wouldn't do that to them...Russia? :)

He seems to like Putey-Wutey, and I doubt we have any secrets left any more that Putin doesn't know already, thanks to him, so it wouldn't be a security risk. :)

How about that island ruled by penguins? ๐Ÿ˜ Or that prison in El Salvador?

Thanks, God. If you say their reign is coming to an end, I have to believe it. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

To any who still think the parallels with what is going on now and the oft-cited Nazi era of Germany are overblown or incongruent, I say they are comatose.

I remember a single-panel political comic where Trump was quoted as saying, "I don't even own a copy of the /Mein Kampf/ book." over a recording of the Audiobook version... X-P

Of course he doesn't own a printed book version; that would require him to /read/!

Despite the many psychological studies which revealed the latent cruelty in some people, it is discouraging to see how many Americans willingly carry out orders that violate Constitutional and basic human rights.

But, hey, some of us once thought that racism was on the decline in the nation.

If someone is better than you at something, there is a choice of responses. The Rump way is to hate them and punish them. The sane way is to accept them and yourself as part of the world tapestry. The loving way is to rejoice that they are here, while realising that you are the best person on the planet to be YOU.

Nancy's avatar

One of the best ways, imho, is they're better than you at something? Wanna get better at it? LEARN FROM THEM. :)

How can we not be crushed by the irony of a gov't led by a convicted felon squawking about nobody being above the law.

Cecilia Rodriguez Griffin's avatar

Yeahโ€ฆno one is above the law, except a felon โ€œpresidentโ€ by virtue of our SCOTUS.

Because of our fighting, that Judge will likely get released because Chump has no legal basis for her arrest.

I hope they can get that two year old home. Poor angel.

Chump is in full cornered rat mode, he's going extra-bonkers and just just throwing all sorts of insanity at the wall and see what sticks. His days are numbered.

Thank you, Mighty Duo, for this. They, and I mean the Banal Cabal of Little Boys and Girls who are playing dress-up with the lives of everyone and the planet itself, are running scared. Now they have to blow it all up as fast as they can so that, as they seem to think, no consequences can be attached to them for their illegal, unethical and immoral actions. I suspect that it will get worse for a while, but the writing is clearly on the wall. Something will have to give...and I do not believe that We the People will be blinking first. In fact, that profoundly sick, twisted and evil pile of Nacho Cheese chip dust is doing the blinking, as he keeps walking back his actions. Now the task is to begin rebuilding while we dismantle Mushroom Man and all of his works.

Nancy's avatar

From your keyboard to God's eyes, Samantha! :D I was wondering myself why they all seem to be in so much of a rush to destroy everything, but your suggestions sound logical. :)
