UPDATED: It was actually 9-0.

Sorry for the mistakes everyone. I actually let myself sleep last night and rushed this one out this morning.

No worries, God. You've got a lot going on. Being omnipresent and dealing with all the shit that's going down would take a heavy toll on even an A+ deity like yourself.

Chi's avatar

The real crisis is coming. The Court made the order, but they have no mechanism to enforce it. Watch.

God's avatar

Does pessimism always win? We shall see.

Let Donald try. I welcome that fight.

He can go to hell in a fiery basket, at your command, of course.

Let us pray this be resolved in human time, not yours.

Everyone knows you don’t wear a watch.

Right. The Extreme Court gave the Dump Regime a loophole that they are already exploiting. Details here from CNN:

Trump administration won't say where man mistakenly deported to El Salvador is

The Trump administration is declining today to tell a federal judge the whereabouts or status of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the man mistakenly deported to El Salvador last month despite a court order.

“I am asking a very simple question: Where is he?” US District Judge Paula Xinis said at the start of a hearing in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Department of Justice attorney Drew Ensign said he did not have the answer. “I do not have that information provided to me.”

“There is no evidence today as to where he is today,” the judge said later. “That is extremely troubling.”

The hearing, which is still ongoing, comes a day after the Supreme Court required the Trump administration to “facilitate” the return of Abrego Garcia — but stopped short of requiring the government to return him to the United States.

A lot of words just to say "I don't wanna!". That said, it's going to take a lot more to bring Garcia home, I'm afraid. The President of El Salvador is siding with D.T.

Garcia's wife needs to sue D.T. for every penny he has!

Punkette's avatar

Right. And Judge Xinis needs to hold the Dump legal team in contempt of court.

BJTS's avatar

This is sadly true.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Sadly, as of this writing, that's the case. El Salvador's President is just like Pumpkinhead and he refuses to hand over Garcia. This is going to take a lot more than a simple SCOTUS ruling.

Peter Reilly's avatar

The Court and Congress need their own law force. Put the DOJ under the courts. Put the Marshals under Congress and the FBI under executive, Take DOH's military police away. They can act as a liaison for all three. Keep them working together for the good of the Country.

I wish you were wrong…

I feel uplifted by this news, while simultaneously not wanting to hold my breath. For some reason, this regime was horny to deport this guy. I have no idea why this one dude in particular, but he’s the one they chose, maybe to make an example of, to terrify everyone into realizing it can happen to *anyone*.

What are the odds that CECOT just shrugs and says “we don’t know where he is” or report that he’s tragically died? How many people were allowed to just leave concentration camps in Nazi Germany?

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Sadly. You're correct. They're pulling the bogus "We dOnT KNOW wHeRe THEy aRe!" routine while going "We don't wanna!".

This need s to be treated as a hostage situation and will probably need, at best, negotiations and, at worst, a secret military rescue operation.

First, we need to reclaim the government, first.

Also, we need to start a lawsuit against Pumpkinhead and sew him personally for all that he has got. FREE Garcia and bring him home or THE POORHOUSE!

Ellen Schwartz's avatar

two comments, one you say March 2024 I think you mean 2025. And secondly, OK great that the Supreme Court is finally standing up on its high legs and behaving like they have a duty to the constitution rather than Trump. However, how are they going to enforce it? We ain’t out out of the woods yet. and while this is an important step. (yeah I can count this is a third comment.) what about all the other people who were deported who never got a hearing? whether they’re gang members or not it was never proven in court.

God's avatar

Sigh. I fixed that typo.

Yes, I understand that we must remain cautious. I just think that SCOTUS decisions still carry weight...

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

True. Heck, they can talk to El Salvador's president and start the exchange.

Jennifer's avatar

I can't wait to see the lawsuit that this family files. I hope they get MILLIONS.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

I'm fairly certain that this will come to nought. Trump and his thugs will fight it and argue it, and declare that it cannot be.

Might I suggest something - and I AM serious about this.

Bukele is obviously just another money grubbing swine, prepared to turn his own country into a concentration camp-for-hire for a measly $6million.

Why don't we ask him how much the "administration fees" would be to get Abrego Garcia released and sent home? $1 million? $2 million? Then start a GoFundMe for the cash - I reckon we could raise it in 24 hours. And Abrego could pay it all back when he gets the money he'll receive from suing the Government. . .

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Amen! Bukele is obviously El Salvador's D.T. and refuses to hand over Garcia regardless of the SCORUS ruling! Garcia was trafficked, not deported! Bukele is a tyrant who wants slave labor.

Sailor Girl's avatar

He was not deported. He was kidnapped.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Yup. Time to call it what it is kidnapping and trafficking.

Christie sebo's avatar

Happy for his family, and will remain cautiously optimistic that others come home as well. A tiny fissure in the Supreme Court beats none at all.

Cat's avatar

Bring them all home. 90% are not the criminals they are being portrayed. And the gang members deserve a fair trial too. You know, equal justice under the law? Isn’t sending people into another countries prison without a say human trafficking? Aren’t they always screaming about that? Oh right, hypocrisy. And moral depravity.

Peter Reilly's avatar

They should serve crimes committed in America here and then be deported.

Ms.Katz's avatar

He's not home yet. Read the details from in Civil Discourse by Joyce Vance from yesterday and today. Lots of fine print and nit-picking keeping this poor man in that hellhole.

Peter Reilly's avatar

If he is dead what will people say of they return his ashes? If they have them. The ashes are probably dumped with all other ashes or at sea. That is their dilemma now.

Ms.Katz's avatar

Update: if he's dead, problem solved. But today-- 4/14/25 -- we learn that he's not coming home ever -- per Bukele's declaration after metting with 45/47.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Garcia's wife needs to sue D.T. for all he's worth. Take away all of his money! If Garcia is still alive, it will force D.T. to being him home. If Garcia is dead, it will punish D.T.

Peter Reilly's avatar

Actually, I was implying that if he is dead. The land and its people will rise up in a fury unlike any this country has seen before since the Civil War. No not was but all of us united against Congress against Trump, Vance and Johnson and Schumer. We will clean house with impeachment even if we have to carry DJT out holding onto his chair.

Peter Reilly's avatar

We now have a hostage situation. The President won’t help so the normal way isn’t available. They’ll make the Dems go down again and again with no result. The just before the next election, they’ll send a group of Republicans who will fly him home.

Peter Reilly's avatar

Well we now know he’s alive. So what do they want for him. We have a hostage deal now and Trump is too stupid to know that.

Scott Bernstein's avatar

Two (2) quick questions can't help but come to mind: 1). did he vote for Dump and 2). is he actually still alive? He did not get sent to Band Camp.......

God's avatar

Well, he's a legal resident so he can't vote. But even if he supported him, I don't care. I care about his innocent children not being punished. I care about justice.

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

Plus his lovely wife who loves him. This family needs their dad.

Scott Bernstein's avatar

The Turd Reich is already ignoring the judges orders............which leads me to once again ask question #2.

Steve's avatar

Good news for three judges voted against it wtf. How sick of piece of shit do you have to be to the let an innocent man rot knowing that he's innocent and knowing that you can do something about it? What disgusting human beings they must be

deniway's avatar

Yeah anyone know who the 3 were - Alito and Thomas for sure - was it beer boy or Gorsuch?

Anne's avatar

Wait a sec God. I hate to burst your bubble but…….. The Trump regime does not want this man returned because he could report the conditions in the jail and how he was treated and make the government look even worse. They don’t want that. So expect some kind of strange or accidental death to occur to this man so he never returns. I wouldn’t put it past that El Salvador president to do something like that. Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but just trying to be realistic.

deniway's avatar

I know God wants us to trust and believe that this is what will happen, but I know I'd be lying - and I don't want to do that on God's platform - if I wasn't thinking the same thing. I want to believe in miracles.

Peter Reilly's avatar

I suspect he's ashes now.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

If Garcia had murdered someone in the US, and escaped to El Salvador, and then been arrested by the El Salvadoran police, the US government could invoke the extradition treaty signed between the two countries in 1995 - and the El Salvadoran government would send the "criminal" home.

So - what's the problem with sending a NON criminal back?

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

So beautiful. Time to get him home! Let's hope he comes home alive.

Also, alive or deceased, there's going to be one epic lawsuit! Sue the Orange Oafish Antichrist personally and drain him of all he has!

Auntie Jelli's avatar

The question I and a friend have is: do we even know if he's alive? He was given immunity because if he went back, it was pretty much condemning his death by the fangs he was seeking asylum from.
