Dear Santa, I've been asking for peace on earth for christmas/yule a long time now. If we had it delivered to everyone that would be great wouldn't it? Maybe you and God here can go in on it together....?

Peace on earth is on my list every year. It is so hard to think that someone would give a child an assault rifle as a Christmas gift. So heartbroken for the loss of lives. May our country be able to ban them sooner than later!

It’s incomprehensible that this has to be said!!

Yes! No gun of any kind capable of injuring others should be a gift! This is how mass shooters are raised from childhood. Only in America…. 😢

Out of curiosity, for a year I cut every article that mentioned guns in the Chicago Tribune - there were nearly 500 that involved crime, domestic violence, gun accidents and suicide, not all stories concerned Chicago. And of course not every shooting made the paper. There were three stories where a gun was used in self defense, two of those were the police. It’s an absolute myth that guns make people safer. If enough of the idiot parents who give their minor children access to weapons go to jail, maybe lives will be saved.

Hold politicians financially accountable for enabling, aiding and abetting shootings. This would change everything.

Australia has no words.

I hope that’s because most Australians are attentive, informed, reasonable, healthy, sane, and visionary.

More that we had a mass shooting in 1 state, the federal government brought in nationwide gun laws, signed in by both parties.

We locked the guns down in 1996 after Port Arthur

Thank you, God, for this guest post from Santa. We called him Father Christmas in England so I hope all fathers find better gifts for their sons. You never gave Jesus a gun for a present, did you?

While we’re at it, let’s just get rid of military-grade weaponry in the hands of citizens. Period. This crap about citizens armed thusly prevents the government from becoming totalitarian or militaristic has to end. A bunch of old fat guys wearing camouflage and meeting secretly in their garages aren’t going to prevent anything!

Dear Santa,

Hey, I'm in agreement with you. Kids nowadays ask for a Nintendo Switch or a Playstation 5. What the hell happened to that? Have we learned nothing from Ralph, who received a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun (in spite of being told 'you'll shoot your eye out' and he actually did)?

Anyway I always asked for the same thing, peace on earth and goodwill to all, but I never get what I want. If Donald ends up kicking the bucket, that's as close to peace on earth as I'll ever get.

Don't worry about me, Santa. I'll be OK. I'll be sending my prayers to Dad for strength. Heaven knows we need it to get us through election day on wings and a prayer!

A country that leashes War onto itself has lost its way.

ANY guns. Even water pistols send the wrong behaviour message from a young age. THINK about it.

And, we cannot ignore all of the online gaming that is centered on killing people and mowing down masses … in the name of fun and entertainment. This desensitizing in conjunction with the physical and psychological weaponization of millions of Americans does not bode well for our country.

The idiocracy that has insidiously been infecting America over decades, causing people to live in terror, feeling they are justified in arming to the teeth; causing both houses of our Congress and too many of our courts to legislate/legalize munitions and weapons of war for easy purchase by the general public … their paranoid vision, and what they have achieved to data has been beyond rational comprehension. These scores of innocent children and adults that have died, their deaths are laid at the feet of our senators and representatives and of those companies and people who’ve pushed for more guns and as little regulation as they’ve been able to get away with., is ultimately destructive

Greed, yes. However this money maker for some has gotten hijacked, manipulated and reshaped along the way, into an un-American, unpatriotic movement looking towards an armed insurrection and the end of our democracy.

Can we also agree, photo Christmas cards with the entire family holding automatic weapons shall be banned, as well!? They certainly do not signify

Peace on Earth, Joy to the World or the Spirit of Christmas. They demonstrate only that those in the photos have hate and death in their hearts.
