In short, part of it is to withhold all monies, all taxes from the feds. My understanding is that those withheld funds would go to state-run social security, Medicare and more. My husband and I have spoken with our state rep and our gov.'s office and, while they are not ready to reveal all, they have given us this. I would encourage everyone to call your reps and governor's offices as soon as possible. Good things are afoot and we are all needed on deck. The entire west coast and Hawaii have already formed a coalition of sorts.

That's because they have actually been making plans since his last administration. Maybe come to the Pacific Northwest. Trees, rivers, great towns all over my state, and California has the 4th or 5th largest economy in the world. They send 81 or so billion every year to the feds, while Texas TAKES 71 billion a year. It may be a bit of a struggle at first, but we are in a much better position to take care of our own, and I do not live in Ca., then the red states are, thanks to the viciousness of the repubs and Trump et al in particular. And, contrary to republican lies for DECADES and more, it has always been, since the end of Tammany (sp) Hall, the Democrats who have been the economically smart ones, as well as pro-human rights and all of the socially good movements and laws. And our schools are pretty good, too. :)
NH is a beautiful state to live in, with mountains, lakes and the ocean, and that and Maine are where my family live so that’s where I’ll be staying. NH hasn’t always been a red state and I can only hope it can go back to blue. :)
