Actually went out on the net today and looked up the stats for voting in the Presidential elections by those who've been of appropriate age, and those who've been eligible, since 1932.
The trends have been pretty consistent for 72 years now. Of eligible voters, on average 58% bother voting and 42% don't.
Largest percentage: 2020, when 65.3% bothered and 34.7% didn't.
That's over 1/3 who just stayed home but might have watched it on telly.
