Still just so grateful for President Carter. He was consummate Grace.

Mrs. C is with him now.

Oh, and

as if anyone would believe Trump wrote that when he can barely complete a spoken sentence that isn't on a prompter.

Cathy 98280's avatar

You’re right, not enough capital letters! The only thing that tells me he *might* have written it was the last bit “ from melonomia and I.”

Hannah's avatar

Yeah, I caught that too. Then decided whomever wrote it don't talk English good.

He probably uses AI to write blurbs like this

Well somebody does anyways

I too voted for Jimmy Carter for president and he was the first candidate that I voted for who actually won! I made a donation today to Habitat for Humanity in Jimmy’s honor because that is the way I believe he would want to be remembered!

3.5 million cases of Guinea worm at the start of his campaign to eradicate it — for the poor who suffered greatly — 14 cases last year — WOW!!

What a truly life-changing legacy! I have also followed the Carter Onchocerciasis Elimination project for years. River blindness is caused by infection transmitted by river black flies. Approx 86 million people are at risk, vast majority in Africa. This disease is difficult, requiring more than 1 strategy. Carter was instrumental in helping to eradicate this disease in many areas. As their work continues, more and more areas are seeing eradications. Blessings, Mr Carter.

I've learned something new today. Thx for sharing!!

I cast my first presidential ballot for Jimmy Carter. I was proud to do it. Now is a good time to ask ourselves "what would Jimmy do?"

Nancy's avatar

It could be a new meaning to the "WWJD?" necklace... ;)

No offense, Jesus! But I hear You also go by Yeshua, among other things, so Your "WWJD?" necklace could also be, "WWYD?" which could also be, "What Would YOU [i.e., /you/, the wearer, to be a better person and make your Teacher proud of you] Do?"

Back when he was running for president they had wwjd t-shirts with Jimmy dressed up like Jesus.

Our world lost a truly good man. May he rest in peace.

Jimmy Carter actually "walked his talk" !

God, please send us more like President Jimmy Carter. PleasePleasePlease?

The whole world in every nation needs more people like Jimmy Carter. We're in a big mess right now

My only consolation in losing this great human being, is that he did not pass with Dungfly Trump stinking up the White House. We are able to mourn his passing, celebrate his life, and give thanks that we got to experience and benefit from his many graces while he was President and when he wasn't. Jimmy Carter was ALWAYS on God's team. Dungfly has been lapping up Lucifer's turds since the day he was born.

A wonderful eulogy, God. Please bless Jimmy for all of us. Amen! Awomen!

May Trump's trip to hell come early.

Thank you, God, for welcoming Jimmy home at such a perfect moment. You really are all-knowing.

"From Melania and I." Beelzebubba's grammar and usage are as good as the rest of his attributes.

This was a beautiful tribute. Please tell Mr. Carter how great he is. This gives me a reason to tune in to the inauccchguration, but only long enough to see the flag at half-mast and salute President Carter.

Nancy's avatar

I hear his toady, Mike Johnson, is ordering all the flags in the Capitol, at least, to be raised to full-mast, then lowered again to half for the rest of the time THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE as per the Flag Laws. X-P

KHKate's avatar

I didn't watch or read anything. I'll have to see. I hope it stayed at half-mast.

A completed life is one of service, grace, love, courage, joy and strength. Jimmy completed his. Resting in heaven with Rosalynn.

In 1980, I was in Jr. High, so I couldn’t vote, but I DID want President Jimmy Carter to win again.

In 1983, when I was 16 years old, I became a Christian.

Some people thought, ‘So are you now a republican?’

(Me) ‘If President Jimmy Carter (who is a Christian) becomes a republican, I will maybe consider that then …”

(Still a Christian now. And still a democrat.)

Anyway, thank you President Jimmy Carter! 👏 👏👏👏 👏 (etc.) 🙂

Hey God, say "Hi!!!!" to him,

Thanks 🙂

Nancy's avatar

Gah; why would people automatically presume you'd be a Republican the minute you became a Christian? :(

Granted it was the 80s, but... :-/

Thank you for your message; President Carter's life is an example for us all

I was too young to vote for President Carter. But watching him help change the world after his stint in the White House was what made me a forever fan. May his memory be a blessing.
