God, I hope you are going to do a little target lightning practice today. We need a very pinpoint strike tomorrow. Are you sufficiently charged up? If you hit the mark, this will be the most spectacular light show ever!! Thank you, God! Amen! Awomen! Ramen!

I second Jan's prayer. Also, thank You for Your blessing to our Sen. Padilla. He's a real human.

But, but, but...he wasn't wearing the Official Senator Uniform! You know: fancy suit, dress shirt, tie, required American flag lapel pin...how was she to know he wasn't some big, scary, BROWN dude? In a place FULL of big, scary, brown dudes?! =8-0

Of course she overreacted... X-P

Poor Mayor Bass; she worked with Noem for 10 years, apparently, in the...I wanna say, House of Representatives? And the main thing she could say about it right afterwards was, "This is not the person I knew and worked with." :(

Maybe she didn't own a dog. Or a goat.

How are you at brewing up the most painful heart attack/stroke combo platter in the history of history? Asking for a friend......

Love this! I never saw this film. Best head banging music 🎶!

Oh you must see the film! Wayne’s World, 1992. One of my faves. Totally silly and hilarious. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey are a hoot. I watch it once a year, religiously! You will love it.

Also, cost of parade to American taxpayers—est. $45 million, plus recent est. of $100 million to repair parade-route streets crushed by tanks.

Cost to taxpayers for God’s bang-up thunder, lightening and rain show ?

Zip. Zero. Nada.

If you could also find a way to throw in GOLF ball size hail…

🤣👏👏👏

Thanks be to God.

Yea! Rain, thunder and lightning! Make is sloppy outside God!

I remember in 2018 for a first time in a remembrance in France he wouldn’t step out into the rain. Will

tomorrow be different? All because of his birthday.

Yesterday afternoon, the Governor of Missouri activated the National Guard "to preserve the peace" this weekend. Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield were mentioned. There will be more cities added. I'm being on Jefferson City (Capital) and Columbia (University of MO "Mizzou." Presently, nothing is going on here in Springfield. The Pride parade here is tomorrow. The timing could be better.

Mary Trump told me on her podcast that she thinks that he's doing it because big No Kings protests in a deep red state would be embarrassing.

Be loud and proud and stay safe, Missouri marchers! We love you! 💙🌈

Robot Bender's avatar

Thank you. To you and the other marchers as well! Stay peaceful, be safe, and take all precautions.

My fear is that mainstream media is too afraid of Trump to the protests on TV. At least our local news will partially cover it. Thanks God for the rain. 🌧️ I am really going to enjoy that! 😊☔️🌨️

Way to fucking go, God!

Trump cancels his to visit Normandy Cemetery because of rain.

The army cancels the Trump birthday parade because of rain.

I think that’s fair.

Corporate media has completely abandoned its sacred role as outlined in the Constitution as a guardrail for democracy. Ever heard of the First Amendment, greedy corporate sycophants? ABC, you get the Quisling Award for biggest spineless suck ups. GFY

For the very first time in my 65 year life, tomorrow I will be joining a march to protest corruption in the government of my own country. My husband wishes I would stay home. To say I am a little bit scared would be an understatement.

I get it. We were too young to be a part of the Viet Nam protests. I’m 67 and I went to my first protest in April. I felt wonderful to be a part of our civic life!

Kim Bart's avatar

Right on, I'm 62 and this is my first protest too! Luckily, I talked my husband into going with me. Have fun tomorrow. No🫅s

I was thinking seriously about April 5th, but it was too packed. :-/

So, I went on April 19th. Seriously fun! And we had a lot of support, if the honks were any indication, including from a bus and -- a fire truck! :D

I'm not sure how much, if anything, got accomplished, but I'm sure there were probably some folks there with petitions to sign, maybe folks to get registered. :)

I was all set to head out today as well, but the place I'd signed up for was more packed than the 5th had been! Couldn't get anywhere near it and was running out of time, so I came back home (I have pictures of what I would've looked like...sigh) and didn't watch his ickle B-day Parade out of spite... ;) Plus, my hubby was worried about me, too (I'm "only" 60 ;-D), and was more than happy I was home. :-/

Did watch a pile of videos of the rest of the gang across the country! :D

I'm wondering about something for Juneteenth... ;)
