This genuinely made me tear up. I am one that voted for Kamala was naive to think people had enough of the orange turd. These assclowns that voted for him have to feel the pain. Unfortunately, it is collateral damage for those who did not want this felon.

On May 5 we had Federal elections (not for president — we don't elect any fuehrer-king, just our representatives for House and Senate) … and the left-wing Labor party absolutely trashed the right wing. Of 150 in the House, 92 ALP (yay!), 40 LNP (hisssss) and 10 IND — the rest still to be decided.
Watching the US thrashing about in such horror is waking up the rest of the world, smacking us around the chops. I hope.
Each of the Parties — ALP, LNP, Green, PHON etc. — elects its own Leader at some stage. (Depending on the Party there's always lots of scruffling around, wondering, debating, infighting and "he said she said" stuff, including the tussles the gutter media make up or blow all out of proportion.)
If a Party clearly wins the election then its leader is appointed Prime Minister of Australia. Presently it's Anthony Albanese — Member of the House since 1996, leader of the ALP since 2019 and Prime Minister since 2022. He's the "front" man and does a lot of the public speaking, but no way is he the "head" man. He is one MP in a good team.
The six States each has a Premier, appointed in the same way.
One of the biggest problems here, though, is that just about every medium — papers, magazines, radio, television — is owned and dominated by Rupert Murdoch or a similar creature. The masses are fed insane amounts of sheer rubbish and many of them just lap it up because the words rarely get beyond one syllable. "That one BAD! This one GOOD!"

Apparently, the only area in the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii, 'cause He knows they're both quite geologically active) that doesn't have to worry about earthquakes is northern North Dakota. It's on the tail end of one of the regions of shield rock in Canada, shield rock being a remnant of one of the earliest proto-continental masses from way back when, when the Earth was just thinking about solidifying its crust.
It's the oldest rock found anywhere, nowadays just refusing to participate in any of that silly "continental drift and recycling hooey," shaking its cane-encumbered fist and growling at young mountain ranges and rift valleys to get off its lawn, already! :D
The human part of the problem rears its ugly head in places that don't get earthquakes on a regular basis; the architecture and infrastructure isn't designed to deal with such. :-/
