The very concept of punk culture is antithetical to any totalitarian ideology , which mandates conformity and oppresses people, be it fascism, national socialism or communism. Punks in the DDR (the old East Germany) were regime opponents, who were active in the movement, which eventually brought down the corrupt and oppressive SED regime. There were, of course, no punks in National Socialist Germany (1933-1945), but there were non-conformist youth movements such as he Swing Kids, Edelweiss Pirates and Meuten who opposed the Nazis. They would sometimes get into street fights with Hitler Youth in their age range.

I'd like to see a lot more of this - not people shouting and shoving, but just saying out loud and proud to MAGA idiots, ICE agents, NAZI flag wavers etc - "You a not a nice person. Your life choices suck!"

Please don't show up as a Nazi at a Dead show either... I'm sure they won't beat you up, but they will "dose" you up and the next thing you know you're covered with beads and talking to the

The shame is there are people out there making shirts and hats and all kinds of nasty Nazi junk. Just selling it should be a hate crime. It's not free speech, it's marketing, demographic studies and an actual business model, to promote hate.
I agree that they should have shunned him. But crowd violence is quick and nasty and can turn ugly. They should not have gone after him physically. That's wrong. No one should be threatened with violence in a crowd. I am a Jew and I hate Nazis and trump and his Fascists.

When I was in the mosh pit enjoying Black Flag and Minor Threat, the nazi punks fuck off T-shirt was everywhere. And I still have most of my teeth.
