I’m sorry the legitimate religious charities lost their funding, more for the people they help. Perhaps if the churches paid even a small amount of taxes, I would have more sympathy. Not the small, community churches, but the Mega-churches of the Joel Osteen-type, should be taxed. If your pastor has a multimillion dollar home and multiple luxury cars, a tax is appropriate. And if nothing else, the “Christians” who think women should be submissive, that LBGTQ+ people aren’t worthy of courtesy and kindness and any other “different” people aren’t as valuable as they are, I feel no sympathy for them.
