She was awesome. She was mad as fucking hell. You know, the type of fire the entire Democratic Party needs in order to try and save whatever is left of this shit hole banana republic we now live in.......
I am currently touring in Venice. During a guided tour of the Doge Palace, it was noted that one of the Doge’s literally lost his head when it was suspected he was trying to become monarchist. We can learn a lot from history if we want to.
Just got back from our No Kings protest in Ocala, FL (next to The Villages for those familiar)… and don’t believe what they say about all FL seniors because they filled 5 blocks on either side of our main drag. There were retired marines and vets and mixed in with teens and kids and we all stood on concrete in direct Florida heat chanting and sign waving. And 90% of all those driving by, maybe 99%, were supportive with cheers and thumbs up and honks in this very, very “MAGA land” and it made me tear up seeing an old guy like a happy warm version of some of my MAGA family, with his Marines hat with his “Democracy Not Dictatorship” sign. And people cheered for the firetrucks occasionally passing through and respecting the cops because they were respecting us and just keeping us safe (ie just moving people trying to stand in the median). My favorite part was seeing my neighbor pass through draped in a trans pride flag and beating a drum. I had no idea she was on “our side” and thought I was in a total Trump pocket, nervously hanging my American and Pride flags up on June 1st. There are so many more sane and loving people than I was starting to believe.
I attended the No Kings protest today in a small town in ruby-red Missouri. Hundreds showed up, with cars honking in support. A truck drove by with big MAGA flags and a middle finger out the window, and the entire crowd booed in unison. It was glorious!
All the right-wing, pro-TACO assassin has to do is make a call to the WH and Trump will send out the Secret Service to pick him up. Thereafter, he will be under TACO’s protection and then, after he’s found guilty of premeditated murder and attempted murder, TACO will pardon him.
THEN! The true Americans will march in protest; TACO will call out every lethal team he can and claim the protesters were unruly and have them mowed down. Because, yanno, he had to save America. Oh, and he will up our taxes to pay for the cleanup of the mass murder he caused.
Isn't it jaw-dropping that this scenario is not, in the least, far-fetched?
Rachel, there is no such thing as "state's rights" under TACO. He is king. What he wants, he gets. He is King. If he wants to slay every person who protests his existence, that is his right.
You are correct up to a point. I doubt that MN and Walz will let anyone near this hate-filled SOB once they get him. I was out in Philly today, where we had no problems. Lots of old people like me. Also familes with kids. People are doing what they can. Stay Fierce 👹
I spent two hours at our NoKings rally. It was HUGE! It went on for blocks. And it wasn't just the massive crowds on the streets, it was the people in their cars, honking and waiving thumbs up, etc.
Rachel, dear, I am not afraid. Being "afraid" has never been an option for me. So, I have NEVER been catatonic with fear. What I am is pissed off! What I saw today, at the rally, was akin to an emergency room doctor looking at a human on the gurney who he or she just knows is dead. Then the body moves a hand, then a foot, then the doctor hears the body exclaim "WTF am I doing here?!"
AMERICA IS ALIVE! We will put on our war paint and go wrest it from the enemy.
"You're not my mom."
Heading out to do your work in 3 hours time in my small town! #resist!
Once...twice...thirty-four times a felon...
And his 34 parade horses to celebrate it…I guess.
Wasn't there a song that went something like...
"Thirty, thirty, thirty-four felonies done;
He needs incarceration!"
or something along those lines... ;)
Something like that
If there isn’t, there ought to be.
But, just imagine, a
91-convictions song would be the smash hit of the year!

Viva Venice! I knew I loved that city
Buon divertimento!

How'd it go? :)
I wanted to get to my site today, but it was, ironically, TOO packed... X-P
Maybe I should've walked, but at my rate, by the time I'd've gotten there, the event would've been over... :-/

Nope. State crime. No pardon. 👹

He is king.
And this is why we are marching.
HE IS NOT KING!

I hope the protest made you feel a bit less afraid and know that there are more good people out here. 👹

Sadly, the political assassinations in Minnesota are overshadowing the protest coverage.
It is totally shocking and so sad.
