Why would Donald need help? He obliterated the Iranian military. (Although I think he screwed up the word somehow when he tried to say it, but that’s nothing new.) Obliterate means they are no more. Trump has no idea how to negotiate anything. All he can do is make threats and demand compliance.
Thing is, Trump is a total narcissist. He is the centre of his world.
Other people are props, stage dressing, barely human, and should just stick to his script and do what they are told. They often do, but some don't so he screams and takes them to Court.
(I'd like to see a comparison of what he's spent from the government (tax payer) coffers on law suits over the past year and that spent by previous more rational presidents.)
He doesn't listen to anyone now, ever — not advisers, not Congress, not polls, not the People.
He rules on gut feeling and his "bones", and they are putrid. Not to mention changing their minds countless times every day for random reasons.

There are a few things with this; firstly NATO was set up as a purely defensive alliance. It is not the case that allies should automatically assist another ally in a war of aggression that they have started, particularly one with no basis in law.
Secondly the United Kingdom does not have two operational aircraft carriers that it can deploy simultaneously so that's clearly a lie because they just don't exist.
