Most people who aspire to have their names, go down in history, want to be remembered for something good and Noble and positive. Unfortunately, it appears we are surrounded by Republicans who don’t care that their names will go down as truly evil.
You bet! I had gotten a bad case of the flu in the fall of 2019 right before COVID. It was the worst I ever had. Because I didn't get my flu shot on time. So I went immediately after I got over the flu and got the shot. Then when COVID came along I vowed I WILL keep up with my vaccines. I don't need to be sick. I got all COVID shots available to us and (knock wood) never got COVID. As a matter of fact in a test I took from my doctor I actually had a higher immunity level throughout! So to Dr Fauci I say Bravo sir you didn't deserve the treatment you got from the Senate. Esp the MAGA Republicans they were truly out of line. So sorry you had to got through that.
Same here! I got all the shots and have never had Covid. All of my red hat family skipped the vaccines and had Covid multiple times. 🤔 It’s not terribly difficult to see the connection here.

Oh, I got to tell a U.S. senator to kindly get fucked to his face several years ago, though in much more kindly words! I worked for a city government who built a new city hall. This was late Obama years. Said senator was going to tour the new building, the date was kind of variable due to his schedule. I was previously a full-time worker there, until my health crashed: my immune system went away, my body stopped producing antibodies and I had pneumonia five times in seven months. There was no way I could recover in a building with not only so many people in it, but also so many public people going in and out all day. So I started part-time telecommuting, I would occasionally go into city hall to do things that I couldn't do remotely and have meetings with my group.
One day I went in and it just so happened that it was this twerp's visit. I stuck around until he toured our area. I smiled, shook his hand, and kept shaking it while talking to him. And still smiling, told him 'You're never going to get my vote, or my wife's vote, nor any of our friend's. I have a life-altering disease that requires extremely expensive medication that costs on the order of $10,000 a month. And you voted against the Affordable Care Act. We called you and pleaded with you not to vote against it, as did many others. And yet you remained opposed. You lost an awful lot of votes because of that.'
And I continued smiling and shaking his hand. And he continued smiling, but you could see his face falling.
And that was the last year he was a senator. I don't remember if he lost the next election or didn't run.
