And in Memphis, musk is paying LESS for water than citizens 🤬 and has "delayed" plans for a graywater facility he was supposed to build https://bsky.app/profile/memphisflyer.com/post/3mmhmlnzuee2b

For the Pope to weigh in on AI speaks volumes about the need to pay attention. The environmental costs and potential for reputational damage resulting from this "technology" is massive. We've become inured to the actions of those who seek this control at the cost of our safety. When will we ever learn?

A modern AI data center isn’t just another commercial building. It’s heavy industry. Facilities that run constantly, draw enormous resources, and reshape the systems around them. Instead of refining oil, these facilities refine data. And they do it at a scale that’s easy to underestimate.

The Nebius plant in Independence, Mo. is projected to use the same amount of electricity as 400,000 Independence homes would. Note: there are only 50,000 households in all of Independence… That’s a pretty big change.

Data centers run on water as much as they run on electricity. Servers generate heat. To prevent overheating, many facilities rely on evaporative cooling systems, which consume outstandingly large volumes of water every day.

We’re talking about a demand that eventually require hundreds of millions to over a billion gallons of water per day nationally, placing significant strain on local systems, especially the smaller municipalities that these data centers target.

All of these centers are run by the billionaire friends of the president. No wonder Don-old picked a fight with the Pope!

Thank you God and Jesus for all you do, AMEN! I personally DON'T like AI I think it's pretty scary just how much power it takes to run it and what it does to communities. YES the communities have every right in the world to say NO WE DON'T WANT any AI centers near our homes.

Amen! I live in Michigan. All five Great Lakes: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario are going to be f**ked up because of Data Centers. Also, Trump’s sewer clown who heads up the EPA and gutted it firing majority of the employees.

Also, I do not want to hear RFK Jr’s opinion. That lunatic will probably tell us to: drink, cook, bathe and brush your teeth with brown water.

I recently wrote an article about the damage data centers do to communities. You can read it at the link below. They are resource hogs and average citizens end up footing the bill.
