I love our northern cousins! Keep whipping the Orange Fascist’s ass. The more crazy he gets the sooner he’ll fall.

Thank you, Canadians!

With help from a past Republican President who understood tariffs unlike the goon destroying the White House.

Bryan J's avatar

The 🎃 can’t even spell the word ‘tariff’ let alone understand it. We have a leader who can’t even pronounce ‘acetaminophen’.

Kudos to Carney for telling the most ignorant US admin….🖕

Mike Gaudreau's avatar

The ad was placed by the Government of Ontario, not the Canadian Government. Just to be clear. But it struck a nerve because it's the truth.

I was going to say this, because we need to get our facts right. And he had already seen it a couple days before he melted down. He was reacting to the Reagan people’s um….untruths about the ad. It was edited for length, not manipulated. In fact what was cut out was even more anti tariff than the final ad.

Speaking of Tylenol, they are suing to stop being forced to put the autism warning on the label.

Teri Gelini's avatar

WTF..I hope they win and score a major cash settlement...there is no scientific proof!!!

Carol M Robinson's avatar

Good going Tylenol company. The orange goon needs to be flooded even more With legitimate lawsuits like this one

The new chant could be: "Bleed. Him. DRY! [monetarily]"

The Republicans favorite Prez Ronnie Reagan! These people love Ronnie. Are they going to go against him? Yes because the Felon declared the Ad a lie. When it is his lies that will be believed by the fascist MAGA people.

Thank you Canada 🇨🇦 we love you!

Clinton on Trump: “A man you can bait with a tweet” can’t be trusted “with nuclear weapons”

Barbara Baldwin's avatar

Trump doesn’t give a crap about farmers, or anyone actually. And his talk on tariffs just proves he knows fuck all about economics and furthermore he can’t be bothered to learn. If any of the lemmings in his administration had the guts to try and advise him rather than just being gutless yes men (and women). It’s so pathetic and embarrassing. I work internationally and am self taught in economics via my career in international finance. I don’t even attempt to explain to my colleagues anymore because really there just aren’t any words for what has become of America. Whatever it is, it’s the opposite of great.

P J Johnston's avatar

Actually the "people" you descibe as lemmings are pulling "HIS" strings. "HE" is the puppet and they are making all the decisions (according to Project 2025) and when he decides to do something like bulldozing the East wing of the White "they" say "Well you've been a great guy at signing our EO's and we give you permission to go ahead and bulldoze whatever you want. The main orange one is truly NOT in control of much of anything only a puppet!

Judi Purcell's avatar

I figured out some time ago that he just wasn't smart enough to do much of anything on his own.

JustTanNotOrange's avatar

In many ways, yes, but he’s been pushing tariffs since the 80’s. I think his puppet masters are going along with the tariffs bc they’re a priority of Donald’s.

Speaking of his team of sycophants/puppeteers, I’m not convinced he wrote that tweet - no spelling or grammar errors, and the all caps is not just random words that don’t make sense to emphasize. Which suggests he’s not doing well. Hoping the MAGA cult bubble pops from all the infighting after he expires

P J Johnston's avatar

I can agree with you on this one!

Bronwyn Halls's avatar

He loves tariffs because they are combative, punitive. Everything he does is the same. Nothing is constructive.

Nancy's avatar

Even the literal shit-storm of that AI thing was too clever to come from his teeny, tiny li'l hands. :-/

Barbara Baldwin's avatar

Actually there are two groups. The ones I described and the ones you did. I was going for brevity.

P J Johnston's avatar

Thank you Barbara!

Leu2500's avatar

Peter Navarro knows nothing about tariffs either.

P J Johnston's avatar

It's not him driving the economics either there are others more in control!

Nancy's avatar

Probably. At least Stephen Miller, and probably Steve Bannon -- what is it with guys named "Steve" or some variant? Apparently, they're either sucking up to him so hard they're wearing him like a literal suit (remember the first Men In Black movie?), or they're 100% against him (thanks, Colbert! :D). ;)

TrashPandaParty's avatar

The speech is available for him to watch any time. I feel like a man who turns himself orange, lies about everything, makes AI videos and photos of himself, has his wife under contract, has bankrupted multiple businesses, founded a fake college, committed tax fraud, cheats at golf, cheats on his wives, etc, etc, is out of fingers to point at others. He's so fake it's hard to believe he's a real person.

This is how you piss off a self important, microscopic penis wielding narcissist. Make him look stupid on a world stage. Chef's kiss to Canada for using Reagan to do it.

I wish there was video footage of Donald every time he got pissed and threw a tantrum. The funny thing is, I bet that ad wouldn't have gone viral if pulp for brains didn't bring it to everyone's attention.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENSION TO THIS MATTER

Guess what, CANADA paid attension.

They're selling to other countries now, more than ever.

As for pumpkins head exploding, I'm all for it

Nancy's avatar

Aw! No need to insult pumpkins like that! :(

(Although, my favorite Randy Rainbow parody is based on "Jesus Christ Superstar" and the refrain is:

"Cheeto Christ, Cheeto Christ

He's like if Jesus were pumpkin-spiced"...)

Sorry for your pumpkins......

I live in Iowa, known for corn, soy beans, and pigs. Where Iowa farmers voted for a man who wants to get rid of high fructose corn syrup (corn) and soybean exports to one of the biggest customers (China). And even more ironically, the crops need to be rotated between corn and soy beans to refresh the soil.

So, now Argentina is selling soybean to China and Trump wants us to buy their beef.

Leu2500's avatar

& it’s not like they didn’t experience the consequences of tariffs on China & China’s retaliation on US soybeans & pork. & they still voted again for tariffs!

Yes, it was an ad, but made from the Ontario government. Rob Ford, premier of Ontario.

I’m already a subscriber's avatar

Doug Ford. Brilliant ad, but promoted by a dangerous jerk IMHO.

P J Johnston's avatar

You are so on this. When I saw the ad I said to my husband the Democrats should air ads like this. And do them over and over and over again. Thank you for mentioning this ad and God Bless Canada for running it. Have been thinking of visiting there to see how beautiful it is. Haven't been there in a while.

linda murrell's avatar

I want to say "God bless you, God," for this excellent call-out on Trump's tariffs, but, you know, that doesn't exactly make sense. But thank you. The ad had to have been seen by the millions who were watching NFL games last week. Powerful, powerful message by the Canadians.

Bren M's avatar

Tariffs are not only crushing farmers and autoworkers. They are crushing all of We the People by raising prices on nearly everything, in addition to ruining global trade and destroying our economy. To make matters worse, we have no idea where the money paid into tariffs is going. More ICE equipment? Gnome’s planes? The new ballroom? Jabba’s pockets? Canada didn’t do anything fraudulent. That’s the specialty of Jabba.

Wow - Trump wasted no time getting to his primary concern (which wasn’t even part of the ad) - that he knows the Supreme Court knows that his decreed tariffs are illegal and that all negative publicity about them is risky. He’s apparently unable not to confess that he is wishing for as little publicity as possible to give SCOTUS maximum obscurity in order to wave through these decrees with minimum scrutiny.

Hope Dems are paying attention. No doubt that this video has also been available in America all along.

BTW - Canada immediately slammed inquiry from Reagan Foundation about using quotes from a public radio address by the president of the United States.
