He’s well on his way, isn’t he?

Great kid! 👹 Stay fierce!

I've never been "OFFICIALLY!" diagnosed, but from everything I've read from reliable sources that I trust, I might have both ADHD and be on the Spectrum as well. It's taken me a long while to figure out, but looking back on everything, yeah, I'd say so.

And yet...I've held job(s), I've dated, gone to both Junior and Senior Proms in high school, gotten married, not had kids (could have, didn't, my choice), etc., etc., etc.

I have a driver's license, I can read and be appalled by what the idiots in charge are saying this week (this day, this hour...), I can march or stand still at a post and protest.

And I vote. >:-D

RFK, Jr should be ashamed of himself…. I am sure he would be if he hadn’t killed all the “shame receptors” in his brain with all the drugs he’s used…

DR Darke's avatar

I'm ashamed enough FOR him, and Trump, and every other subhuman moron who believes this shit.

If you support Trump or anything he does? In my book, you're not just wrong—you're a subhuman moron who should be sterilized for the greater good for humanity.

Let's see how YOU like it!

Nancy's avatar

Eee; careful, that's a slippery slope (my mom hated war largely because "The 1-A guys are sent off to die, and the 4-F ones stay home and /breed/!")... :-/

But yeah, there were lots of folks of different stripes, kinds, etc. that were involuntarily sterilized, /by law/, and in this country of the U.S., all in the name of "bettering the stock" (Moo-oo! As if humans with functioning brains [hmm; they may have been envious...] were only to be valued by their physical abilities, attractiveness, and ability to breed).

The American Eugenics Society took it upon themselves to "SAVE America!! :D" from people who were: "criminals, feeble-minded, disabled, deformed, in a mental hospital, blind, deaf, or poor. Or, as eugenicists called them, 'bacteria,' 'vermin,' 'mongrels,' and 'subhuman.'" [from: https://www.cracked.com/article_23252_5-awful-ways-america-influenced-hitler-without-knowing-it.html]

You-Know-Who expanded the definition to include "homosexuals, the idle, the weak, and (big surprise here) Jews to the already staggering list of candidates to be treated as if they were stray motherfucking cats."

It's almost one of those things where, yeah, we /don't/ want MAGAts and those that "inspire" them breeding, ever, but if we call for their sterilization, that's not much better than the bad guys. There's gotta be better ways. :-/

DR Darke's avatar

I did know all that—and usually, when my Inner German comes out and I start ranting like it's the Nuremberg Rally, I at some point qualify it by pointing out most pro-Eugenicists were some breed of racist or Fascist. OTOH, MAGA shouldn't make it so easy to promote Eugenics by being exactly the kind of Subhuman Morons (both terms used by Eugenicists) who deserve sterilization for being such a blight on our country and the world.

This trailer for TOMORROW'S CHILDREN, a 1934 PRO-Eugenics exploitation movie, unintentionally makes your point for you by starting with a title card that basically says, "Hey, HITLER Supports Eugenics!" 🤦‍♂️

Nancy's avatar

The depressing thing, though, is that the American Eugenics Society apparently /inspired/ the house painting twit... :-/

And I'm glad there are folks who also know history! :D It's such a refreshing thing to see, largely because so many don't... X-P

DR Darke's avatar

'Tis a pity, because I would LOVE nothing more than to sterilize the Trump family, the Vance family, every Republican in office, and anybody who ever put on a red MAGA cap as a matter of public health.

::stop to pick up my brown shirts at the laundromat, and practice goosestepping for an hour::

Navigating that tricky middle ground is always a struggle, when Simple Solutions like forced sterilization of the entire Right Wing is...right there.... 🤔

Nancy's avatar

Another Simple Solution (SS...hmm... :-/) could be taken as, "If they wanna do that to US, then WE gotta do it to THEM /first/! Outlaw the Democratic Party!" :-/

As it is, they are trying to pick apart the Left Wing bit by bit... X-P

You’re right!! He has no shame receptors.

Maybe that's what the worm was specifically targeting? ;)

That a 10 year old, (granted, a remarkable one) shows a deeper understanding of science, heredity, tolerance, vision, acceptance, and inclusivity than the fucking Secretary of Health and Human Services is ridiculous, not to mention injurious to our nation.

That’s an IMPORTANT point of the child’s speech. I am old and female. Whatever I have was never diagnosed properly - ADHD, PTSD, Autism Spectrum.

The older we get, the less we are able to mask in with “normals”.

However, just like that child, we frequently have unique abilities that are natural to us in a greater proportion than people whose brains are wired like a “normal” brain.

Our brains are literally wired differently. We ARE born this way AND it is genetic. The presentations can be passed down through generational study.

Oh, there's another awesome Cracked article I really dig (especially its subtitle/quote: "It turns out some theories suggest that many times what we now call a disorder used to be an awesome advantage."):

https://www.cracked.com/article_20905_5-brain-disorders-that-started-as-evolutionary-advantages.html

I especially like #s 4, 3, and 1 (they do their "Top X Whatever" count backwards). ;)

My twins have Autism and dyslexia and zero guile. They were bullied and misunderstood. They were in the "special classes" bc mainstream teachers couldn't be bothered to help them. I paid through the nose for after school therapies and it helped. Now, they are in college and working at UPS. FUCK YOU RFK! I raised them up literally by myself, they are wonderful people, and were my greatest joy in life.

Is RFKjr really related to his dad? No aspersions on his mom, but how can someone as brilliant and kind as Sr. beget someone so opposite as Jr.?

Catt woman's avatar

I share your view. I loved Bobby. I swear he rolls over in his grave every time his disgusting nepo baby opens that hole in his face and regurgitates lies and fantasies. What a creep…

Nancy's avatar

From what I hear, JFK Jr. wasn't that much better, though I think his son (JFK's grandboy) is doing better. :)

Catt woman's avatar

JFKs grandson Jack is Caroline’s son, not JFK Jr’s. I never heard stories about JFK Jr being as messed up as RFK Jr is.

Nancy's avatar

Me neither, and I am sad he died in a plane crash before he could be a more sane conservative and go, "Wow. MAGA is really destroying the Republicans."

Jan Frederick's avatar

That was fantastic, God!!! I never saw that article anywhere else. Thanks for posting it! RFKjr reminds me of the Christopher Lloyd character in "Taxi". Not only does he talk and move like a drug addict, but his ideas seem to show that he just isn't all there mentally. He sure is putting his family to shame. Thank you, God! Amen! Awomen! Ramen!

Sue From 28803's avatar

Thank you God! Many thanks! I have an autistic grandson and his sister is neurodivergent as well. Any teaching about these people is a wonderful thing. It may make people think. As for RFK Jr., I can only hope one day he gets over the damage that brain worm left behind. He’s the one who’s broken, not the autistics.

PS: We found gluten makes him over the edge. If he stays away from it he’s calm and rational. Not saying it’s a cure-all, but it might help someone somewhere.

☮️ Peace

Wow. Just wow. A fourth grader gave a speech that was more intelligent and cohesive than the so-called leader of the free world. And before anyone jumps in and says "He couldn't have written that by himself," that is possible. But by the way he spoke and how well he read it, it's clear that his reading, vocabulary and comprehension are well above his grade level. He understood every word.

And I didn't miss the tone either; there were a couple of clear digs at the target of his speech that were quiet but clear.

I loved the comment that ensuring that both teachers and students have education about disabilities will mean no more people like RFK Jr. God, he's edging into Your smite territory!

Thanks for sharing this.

DEI - diversity, equity, inclusion. A wonderful concept that, not surprisingly, the Trump administration disdains. Just like progressivism - better progressive than regressive. So glad I live in a blue state. Come on 2026!!

Nancy's avatar

Oh, absolutely yes! Let's hear it for sane states! :D

It's expensive to live in mine, but I'd rather be far, far away from the bigger cities and STILL live here (or elsewhere on the Coasts) than in the cheapest, deepest part of RedHatistan... X-P

My 23 year old daughter is on the severe end of the spectrum but she is not broken. She needs housing and leisure activities not lectures from quack conspiracy theorists. She went to school with students like Teddy and had a great school experience. It’s not the kids. It’s the adults with a political agenda that are always the problem. I hope he has a great experience too. All kids deserve nothing less.
