I feel like these tariffs are going to bring a lot of people together in opposition to the Mango Vonshitsinpants but I worry that it will be to little to late. I will definitely be contacting my elected representative who are all boot lickers but I need to make my voice heard.
Good for you Mike yes most of the Repubs ARE bootlickers but what the hell give it a shot, after all this is SUPPOSED to be OF US, BY US and FOR US. NOT the bootlickers or the one "ruling" the regime at present!
Great post. I must say Bulletpoint #4 is the biggest head scratcher. DJT is too ODD (obstinate disruptive disorder) for me to ever believe he had the best of intentions for anyone , including his supporters. Oh and I think old Moscow Mitch is looking to get back into your good graces…😉

'Cause I don't see many big, long-term stocks that aren't Tesla falling by the wayside. And even if they do, the few who own like 51%+ of shares won't be feeling much of any kind of pinch. :-/
I posted something this morning on FB. I said: Well "HE" found a way around promising NO tax hikes and hiked them big time with Tariffs. I hope that enough people understand that everything we buy to eat, wear as clothes, probably even clean our homes and ourselves with is going up in prices because of TARIFFS!
Either that, or a way to shore up domestic production of things. But even William "I Think They're a Dumb Idea Now" McKinley didn't keep it up for very long, even when we HAD domestic production of damn near anything in this country. Nowadays, apparently 2/3 of the economy is in consumer spending, NOT PRODUCTION.
And even things we make here rely on global sources of raw material, parts, etc. X-P

A tariff is just a tax. It used to be people knew that.
Apparently there are many people that NEVER knew that nor do they know that we will be the ones footing the bill.
