Two thoughts from and RN. He will probably develop a bleeding ulcer due to the diet being combined with the high dose aspirin. I have had many a patient almost and in some cases die from the bleeding ulcers too much aspirin can cause. Now with the swelling in the legs there is a good chance that will lead to weeping which is the excess fluid has no where to go so the legs start to release the fluid just like you have a cut and bleed the legs release the lymph fluid in a yellowish color fluid and he will have lower clothing wet and shoe and sock will slosh from the fluid. Typical "I know what is best for me" attitude. I have seen it all and it is not pretty,,,

My mum hated the compression socks so I got her a double layer of Tubigrip and a footstool. But she isn’t eating a whole cow every day 👹 Thanks, God. Nurses have your back.
My spouse has learned SLOWLY that I actually know what I am talking about when I tell him what the reason is that things happen. He has ulcerative colitis controlled with RINVOQUE, lymphedema that took forever to get him compliant with the stockings and lymphedema boots and osteoporosis porous that I had to fight the GI MD about not giving steroids...Took some time but finally after 2 compression fx after he had not had any in 30 years he believed me. I agree I do not know what is keeping drumpf alive except to torture the world. Hopefullly things will improve this year. T least your mum is wearing the tubigrip as a double layer. Mr spouse is 80 and was a die hard drumpf but has turned around this year and is not happy with things . There is a light at the end of the tunnel at least at this house..Glad you were able to get to your spouse in time.
They probably also became seriously infected and the infection killed him. Plus if he was diabetic that delays all healing. Ad it is definitely a good probability that drumpf is diabetic with his weight and other issues
