I'm beyond furious at all of these idiots for being so fucking lazy and stupid. They were willfully uninformed, gullible beyond excuse. Their votes shouldn't have counted.
Maybe it's time we instituted a tiered system for voting: if you do the homework and pass a straightforward test demonstrating that you're informed (e.g., you know who's running, you know that you can't change your mind after you vote), then your vote counts as one full vote. If you don't bother to inform yourself, your vote only counts for half. My informed, intentional vote should count more than one of these idiots, shouldn't it? We demand that these same citizens participate in jury service and that jurors pay attention when deciding someone's fate when they serve. Why don't we have at least that much of a requirement for something with the serious consequences of voting?
Many of the Trump voters were fed disinformation by Elon, Zuckerberg and others - exactly as President Biden said. I live with a Trump loyalist. He doesn’t understand reality. The stuff he believed is real is unbelievable. My boyfriend, who isn’t on social media and who is extremely “rough around the edges”, has been trying to talk freaking reality to him but it’s taking time.
An absence of critical thinking is causing the downfall of democracies around the globe. We no longer need to have vicious tribalism to compete for scant resources. Conflating critical thinking with wokeism is voluntarily remaining uninformed.
Totally agree with you Cindi, I've voted for most of my life, couldn't wait to start voting at 18 years of age and I was 73 last November. I've also done a bunch of jury duty both local and grand jury in my state. I also had to take Civics when I was in what was then Junior High School and I think it might have been 9th grade and took a Political Science elective class in college. I agree if people don't educate themselves about who they are voting for then they most likely shouldn't vote. I said so many times throughout this last Presidential Election that one candidate actually told us what she was going to try to do to improve our country for the next 4 years. The other candidate did nothing more than call her stupid, bitch about the "other" election that what lost and basically had no platform or agenda what so ever. How people couldn't see that I have know idea. And don't get me started about the ones who felt that a woman couldn't do the same job as a man in the White House, I've heard this excuse too many years to count and am sick and tired of it.

I sent what I could afford as far as food and pet supplies. Places I knew and loved for decades are gone. And that POS Donold is calling our governor "Newscum" and saying CA. won't get aid. I say leave the flag at half staff in honor of the great President Jimmy Carter.
