NOBODY should have to state "I'm a Christian!" Show me by your acts, or you a liar. My 93 yo "evangelical" mother is like this. And likes to tell you what you're doing wrong, and she'll pray for you! Pretty sure God and Jesus haven't actually heard much from her.

I worked in the infant/toddler nursery of a church for many years. The congregation was great. No one asked about my beliefs or lack thereof. The church's core beliefs focused on inclusivity, social service, and justice. They also knew the babies were in safe and loving hands with me. My co-worker, Brenda, was a prime example of what Christians say they are but they are not. She was one of the most kind, thoughtful, and loving people I've ever had the privilege to know. We had long talks about our different views on religion. I can think of only three other people who I can say were truly Christian in their actions. It makes me sick to see these pretend Christians try to bully and demean the rest of us. Brenda died of cancer in April of 2023. I was so angry because she was taken and some of the cruelest people around, these "Christian Nationals" don't suffer. Rahmen from this atheist.
Jesus! I wish there was a church that actually preached like you speak and recognized non-Christian bullshit. I would go every week, and twice on Sunday!
Brenda, when I was checking out Christianity a long time ago, I found a church like that. The people were great, they served the poor in their community, and they were tolerant of all the differences among their fellow humans. I became friends with some, even though Christianity was not for me. Many years later, they remember to keep in touch with me, which I find to be very kind.
That guy is a POS. I had not seen him until now. People who get defensive when they think they have been insulted before they actually have, are, well, a POS.
I am not a Christian but I certainly don't get pre-insulted if someone offers up their Christian beliefs. Everyone has their own unique take on spirituality.

Try the Unitarian Universalist church. We are non-dogmatic and non-credal
