Murder is wrong under *most* circumstances. (Though I can understand the murder of a serial abuser if the abused has not received protection.)

The murderer of the UHC CEO is being held to a higher standard than the murderers of children in schools and regular (i.e. not wealthy) people from mass shootings.

Both things are true at the same time.

Hey, if I knew where that guy was locked up, I'd start a GoFundMe to put money on his books in jail. He'd be the first prisoner in American history to have $500,000 in his commissary account. 😂

Murder is murder. It is more difficult for people to refrain from reacting to this act, than it is to offer their feelings.

Non-violent resistance to insurance company “death Panels” (prior authorization managers) seems impossible. These healthcare monopolies insulate themselves from customers with bureaucratic voice mails and AI generated email messages.

Politicians don’t care that United Healthcare, Cigna, & Aetna own insurance, pharmacy benefit managers, physician groups. The big 3 are MONOPOLIES. Politicians don’t care that children get shot everyday.

Business+politics=more Americans die

Justice really isn't justice unless it is applied evenly and without prejudice. This justice misses the mark by a longshot. Thank you, Jesus. Amen! Awomen!

How could they have fucked this up so badly?

I'm telling you, despite my argument with my beloved brother, that "stupid" is infinite. I dare anyone to prove me wrong :D

Hannah's avatar

Not taking that dare, even if you double it.

Shooting someone in the back? From a short distance? Spineless pr*ck.

God's avatar

True, yet still not as cowardly as how the health insurance industry kills us.

Hey!!! I thought this was JFCs post. What are you doing here.

God's avatar

I live here lol

JFC said he would be in Cabo. Remember your Christmas podcast? My mistake, again, for believing him.

They just elected a guy who would love to repeal Obamacare. Speaking of morons! Lord you need to help us on this one!

Dorvek's avatar

As opposed to those who shoot the children in school and still get better treatment?

Glenn Reynolds's avatar

Less bullets all around would be nice.

I venture a guess all the dead people feel the same way. Dead.

Indeed. No question. The system sucks and people die. Something has to give in reform. I think the election just told us how far away reform is in gerrymandered states and minority ruled electoral college. Been a war here on this since early 90s. Obama made a small dent.

They will restock management with a new guy. No shortage of replacements. But this is a cycle that is more than a slippery slope. Shoot everyone who runs a bad industry? Even Tennessee does not have enough ammo and it will backfire. Less will get done. Poor people vote against themselves. After we can explain that!? … Jesse James was slave friendly state murderer scumbag. Bonnie and Clyde were psychotic and we are here again…

I am picturing Joe Bodyguard hired to protect Joe Muchmoney Whitebread III, CEO. Someone moves toward them, so the guard shoots first and ask questions later. His defense: The world applauds assassins, so I had to take preventive action. Seemed like a copycat. We felt threatened." It will be the "Quickbooks legal defense" easy as pie. That would be not such a good thing. Negligent homicide would be a relic. So much for protests. There is always a cost. Deal with the Devil. Full employment act for trigger happy bodyguards tho!

“May the odds be ever in your favor.” If these words aren’t an appropriate motto for people with for-profit health insurance, nothing else is.

Yes. Kinda strange. Luigi has an interesting story. Went to good schools. Head of his class. And now this, and did I read that he didn’t even have insurance with UnitedHealthcare? Sounds like he just went off the rails like people do sometimes.

Good afternoon JFC.

This is how I understand people who say outrageous shit online. It's relatively anonymous. Likes, reposts, supporting responses, etc. seem to be important for reasons I don't get. I guess some folks get validation wherever they can. It doesn't matter how nonsensical these attention getting devices are.

Please don't be offended, or do, but you know that you and your dad love the attention you get in this space. It's fine with me, you are fucking funny.

"Not the hero we deserve, but the one we need right now" whatever that could ever mean lmfao!

Just like you can't fix ugly, you can't fix stupid. In cases like this, the two are interchangeable.

Even though what that CEO did was wrong, that doesn't give someone else the right to be judge, jury and executioner.

Dear God,

Thanks for being there for me during this extremely rough year of heartbreak from my adulterous husband. At least you speak truth to me.
